My Story

My skincare journey began early in my teens when I first started to struggle with problematic skin. The Dermatologist seemed like it would be the best place to seek advice. I tried all of the topical creams and medications that they prescribed, but they were ineffective, leaving my skin dry and irritated. When prescriptions didn’t seem to be working I began experimenting with products like Proactive, that claimed to be the acne cure all. But, unfortunately for me I ended up with similar results; dry, flaky, irritated skin.

Fast forward to my first career as an Airman in the U.S. Navy. I was stationed on an aircraft carrier and was on my first deployment. One of our first stops would be in Malaysia and I was looking forward to some rest and relaxation. The skincare routine I had had was non-existent at this point, but fortunately there was a spa at the hotel I was staying at and I was able to book my very first facial!

While I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect I was excited to be trying something new. It turned out to be such a therapeutic experience and I felt that it was the closest I had ever come to real, tangible results with my skin. The idea of therapeutic skin care was such an interesting concept to me and I began to look into it more as a possible career choice. The more I found the more intrigued I became. And while taking such a drastically different career path seemed a little scary, it also seemed very right.

As they say, the rest is history. I have been a Licensed Esthetician since 2002, and I still love skin care and getting to help other women with theirs! My enthusiasm for this field has driven me to to continuously pursue new products and techniques. I have obtained an Aesthetician Certification which allows me to perform advanced peeling, a Sugaring Certification to provide the most natural and long-lasting hair removal option, and most recently have added TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), cupping, and Massage to balance and exercise all 43 facial muscles!

And while skin, products, and new techniques have remained a passion I have been able to cultivate and nurture some other interests as well. I obtained a BOA (Bachelor of Art) degree in 2013 and later added Microblading to my service menu. I have loved every bit of this journey and always look forward to new skin and eyebrow challenges!
